DIC Ang launches Covid-19 sensitization campaign

Anantnag: To sensitise the masses about Covid-19, the District Information Centre (DIC) Anantnag Wednesday launched an IEC campaign on the pandemic.
In this connection, a one day awareness camp which marked the start of the campaign was organized at Govt. Higher Secondary School Ranibagh, here.
The camp was attended by District Information Officer, Khanzada Mohammad Usman besides Principal GHSS Ranibagh, Sameena Kochak, officials of DIC and other staff members of the school were also present.
On the occasion, pamphlets highlighting the importance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) and vaccination were distributed among the students and teachers of the school.
Calling upon the participants to follow CAB in letter and spirit, the DIO said that Covid-19 is not over yet and SOPs become more important during the unlock phase when the chances of exposure to virus are higher.
Stress was laid on vaccination and personal hygiene to avert the possibility of another Covid wave. Besides, the significance of mask wearing and avoiding visit to congested places was also elaborated during the camp.
The camp concluded with a vibrant interaction session wherein the participants raised certain queries which were addressed on spot.
Pertinently, a number of IEC activities on Covid-19 are being conducted by the Information & Public Relations Department in the district.
