Srinagar,:The Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) held a review meeting to take stock of the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of forthcoming Computer Based Test (CBT) Examination of various categories of posts of Health & Medical Education Department (H&ME) advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2021.
The CBT examination of about 1202 posts of various categories is scheduled to be held from 17th August 2021 to 24th August, 2021. Approximately, 72,000 online applications have been received for 1202 posts advertised under 162 different item numbers.
Pertinently, about 61,000 unique candidates have applied for the aforesaid posts. The CBT examination shall be conducted at 36 different locations in Kashmir and Jammu Division and on an average about 8000-9000 candidates are scheduled to appear in 3 different shifts/ batches per day.
The meeting was informed that the candidates are facing difficulty in downloading of Admit Cards and allotment of Examination venues/ centres in respect of certain categories of posts. The Chairman directed the Controller of Examinations to address the issue and provide rectified/ revised Admit Cards to the concerned candidates. It was also directed to consider minimum inter division movement of candidates for taking the examination. It was decided that the Board shall examine the requests made by the candidates regarding allotment of examination venues/ centres.
However, it was felt expedient to apprise the general public/ candidates that there are constraints/ difficulties with regard to availability of infrastructure for conduct of CBT in J&K which may make movement of candidates inevitable. It was also directed to use all available machinery to keep candidates informed about instructions regarding the scheduled examination. The candidates are advised to visit official website of the Board for regular updates.
The candidates who are scheduled to appear in the forthcoming examinations including CBT, have also been cautioned to desist from indulging in any unfair means practice like impersonation, carrying of prohibited items, communication device, electronic equipment/ gadget or any other material with the intention of receiving assistance. The candidates found to be attempting / using any unfair means practice during the examination, shall be dealt with strictly as per the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (Conduct of Examinations) Regulations, 2013 including debarring of such candidates for appearing in future examinations.
The Chair was briefed that all necessary preparations have already been put in place. Moreover, the Board has also sought cooperation of Divisional Administration, Kashmir/ Jammu as well as Respective District Administrations for making available manpower, police/ security deployment for frisking etc to ensure smooth and hassle-free conduct of the examination.
The meeting among others was attended by the Controller of Examinations SSB, Dy. Secretary SSB, Under Secretary SSB, Administrative Officers SSB, Kashmir/Jammu etc.
