ADC Handwara finalises I-Day arrangements

Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir Tuesday convened a meeting of concerned officers to finalize the arrangements being put in place by different departments for smooth celebration of Independence Day-2021 in Handwara Sub division.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues with regard to finalization of arrangements for smooth conduct of the National Day.
The ADC said that the main function of Independence Day shall be held at DPL Handwara, where the National Flag will be hoisted at 9 AM, followed by inspection of the parade.
There will be a joint march past presented by the contingents of JKP, NCC, and Forest Protection Force, said the ADC.
On the occasion, the ADC impressed upon all concerned departments to work with more zeal and dedication to make the event a grand success in the Sub division.
The ADC directed to ensure strict compliance of COVID SOPs and maintain COVID Appropriate Behaviour in letter and spirit during the celebration.
The deployment of Officers, preparation of certificates, coverage of the event, barricading, services of commentators and other required facilities were also finalized in the meeting and officers were directed to ensure flawless and fault free arrangements in all respects.
