DGP sanctions meritorious scholarship of over Rs. 3 lakh to 58 wards of deceased Police Personnel/ serving SPOs

Srinagar: The Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned scholarships of over rupees 3 lakh in favour of 58 wards of deceased police personnel/serving SPOs under different orders.
The DGP has sanctioned scholarship of Rs five thousand each out of the Central Police Welfare Fund in favour of 48 schools going wards of Police personnel who died while in service due to natural/accidental death. The scholarship has been sanctioned for different classes from LKG to graduation for the academic session 2020-21.
He has also sanctioned meritorious scholarship of rupees ten thousand each in favour of 10 wards of serving SPOs who have secured 80% and above marks in the annual examination of class 10th and 12th during the academic session 2020-21. The amount has been sanctioned out of the Police Pariwar Fund.
