Srinagar: Police public interaction meeting was on Saturday conducted at Police Station Pethkote. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SHO PS Pethkote Insp. Tanveer Ahmad at Police Station Pethkote and attended by respectable, civil society members and youth of Banakoot and other adjoining areas.
During the meeting different issues of public importance like playing ground, branch of J&K Bank, branch of fire & emergency services & various social crimes particularly drug abuse and gambling were discussed. The chairing officers assured the participants that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. The participants were also briefed about the precautionary measures to be adopted to contain the spread Covid-19.
The participants were advised to cooperate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti national and anti social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment. The participants in the meetings assured their full cooperation to police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
