Kulgam: A cop was on Saturday killed in a militant attack in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Reports said that militants carried out the attack on a police party in Pombay village of Kulgam district. The attack reportedly was carried out when policeman was regulating traffic. One cop received serious bullet injuries. He was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police while confirming the death of the cop in the attack said that area had been cordoned off and searched were launched to nab the attackers. The slain cop has been identified as Constable Javaid Ahmed.
