Azadika Amrut Mahaotsav: ADC Kick-starts U-19 football tournament at Baramulla

Baramulla:In connection with “Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahaotsav” District Youth Services and Sports Department Baramulla organized U-19 football tournament in which 36 teams from across the district are participating.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir Friday inaugurated the tournament at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla. Theinaugural match was played between Boys Higher secondary school Baramulla and Boys Higher secondary school Sopore.
Speaking on the occasion occasion, ADC Baramulla appreciated the organizers for organising the event in the district. He appealed the youth to keep themselves engaged with curricular and co- curricular activities, saying that sports keep them fit both mentally and physically. He said that such sports activities should also be conducted on other sub division, tehsil and block level. The ADC offered his full support from the district administration and said that all the sports facilities including infrastructure should be kept available for the youth who are the future of the society.
Among others, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, School Heads and a good number of sports lovers were present on the occasion and witnessed the inaugural match.
