DC B’pora reviews progress of establishment of Stone Crusher/ Hot Mix plants at Gurez

Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Thursday convened a meeting to discuss various issues in connection with the establishment of stone crushers/ Hot Mix plant at Gurez.
The meeting discussed various issues that hinder the establishment of Hot Mix plant in the Gurez valley where developmental works are affected owing to the absence of Hot Mix plant and stone crushers.
Threadbare discussion was held on establishment of stone crushers, Hot Mix plant and Macadamization plant in Gurez.
The meeting discussed all the Action Areas taken up by different departments of the district including clarification of observations raised by the Department of Forest, Ecology and Environment and Pollution Control Board.
Nine cases were discussed in the meeting and concerned officers were directed to expedite the cases so that formal permissions are given.
Dr Owais reviewed the status of tasks including identification of dredge spots for quarrying raw material, identification of state land for installation of stone crusher and hot mix plant, approval of NOC for macadam plant and stone crusher at Gurez, installation of hot mix plant at Badwan Wanpora, NOC for establishment of hot mix plant at Gurez, NOC for operation of stone crusher at Dawar, Neeru, Baduaab, Chalwali, Kabulgali road and at Tragbal, establishment of stone crusher at Gujran Tulail and subsequent identification of state land, NOC to establish stone crusher unit on private land at Baduaab Tulail.
He urged the officers to expedite the paperwork regarding the establishment of stone crushers and hot mix plants including getting NOC and other related formalities before the establishment of these plants. He said in absence of these plants in Gurez the developmental work has been greatly affected as the material is to be supplied to far off places from Bandipora.
He said establishment of these plants will ease the problems with regard to construction of roads and other projects and shall give a flip to developmental activities.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Parvaiz Raheem, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM Gurez Dr Mudasir, DFO Bandipora and other senior officers of the district.
