Bandipora: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr owais Ahmad, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Bandipora, Zahoor Ahmad Mir and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Parvaiz Raheem on Wednesday made a surprise visit to different government offices located in different blocks of the Mini-Secretariat Bandipora.
On the occasion ADC checked the attendance of officers and officials. Several employees were either found absent from the duties or were reporting late to their offices. All such officials were accordingly put under notice. The officers and officials have been asked to explain their position within a set time failing which action shall be taken against them.
“Overall attendance has been found satisfactory. Few absentees/late-comers have been put on notice,” ADC Bandipora said after the inspection.
Similar surprise checks were conducted across the district by concerned SDMs and Tehsildars and other concerned District Officers.
Meanwhile, DC, Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad directed the officers and staff to maintain work culture and punctuality and ensure prompt redressal of public grievances by adding that district administration is committed to ensure good governance and prompt service delivery to the general public of the district.
He said the surprise inspection to check absenteeism shall be a regular exercise henceforth to ensure punctuality of the government employees. He said that district administration won’t tolerate irresponsible behavior of any employee towards their duties and if any complaint regarding the unauthorized absence of any employee is found, the same shall be dealt with strictly.
