Pharma Association calls on Atal Dulloo, projects various demands in Srinagar

Dulloo hands over 96 promotion orders

Srinagar: J&K Govt Pharmacists Association (JKGPA) Tuesday called on Additional Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and presented a memorandum of demands to him.
The deputation was led by JKGPA’s president, Sheikh Mehraj-ud-Din who presented a list of demands before ACS who gave a patient hearing to the visiting deputation.
The Association brought forth the matter of issuance of fresh registration in favour of Pharmacists who are working in Health Department.
To this, ACS informed the Association that matter is presently under examination with the Pharmacy Council of India and as soon as opinion is received the same will be shared with the administrative department.
The Association’s demands also included the recognition of J&K Pharmacy Council and inclusion of members to the Council amongst the Association, conduct of DPC on the scheduled date, reorganization of certain posts up to the level of District Pharmacy Officer, establishment of pharmacy council at Jammu/Kashmir, change of nomenclature of Pharmacist Cadre working in Health Department and amendment in SRO-20 among other issues.
On the occasion, Dulloo directed the concerned authorities to redress all the genuine grievances and issues on priority.
While appreciating the role of health professionals amidst covid-19 pandemic, ACS impressed upon the Association to work with zeal and dedication in the wake of this global pandemic.
He assured them that administration is committed to resolve all their demands and genuine issues.
Later on a one minute silence was observed to commemorate those covid-19 warriors who have lost their lives while serving the people.
On the occasion, Dulloo also handed over 96 promotion orders of senior Pharmacist, Supervisory Pharmacist and Head Pharmacist.
