DSEJ organises patriotic song Competition

Jammu: As part of a series of events being organised to celebrate the 75th Independence Day, Directorate of School Education Jammu Tuesday organised ‘Patriotic Song Competition-Amrit Manthan’ through its Cultural Cell, in which students from all the 10 districts of Jammu Division participated.
With inculcation of patriotism as the guiding light, the event saw 66 students perform on the occasion through virtual mode and thousands others joining in on various social media platforms of the Directorate.
Director School Education, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. Wishing the participants very good luck for the competition, he highlighted the importance of inculcating patriotism as a value in our lives and how it plays a central role in nation building.
The event was held in two sessions- morning and evening. Welcome address on the occasion was presented by Surjit Singh, Incharge Cultural Cell, while Supriya Sharma conducted the proceedings.
