Pulwama: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary Saturday inaugurated a New Business Unit of J&K Bank at Batagund, Tral in presence of J&K Bank Zonal Head Pulwama and J&K Bank Cluster Head (South).
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC highlighted the importance of banking services in the area and said financial institutions play a vital role in the modern times for the socio-economic transformation of the people particularly in the rural areas.
He said that this Bank Branch will cater a large chunk of rural population residing in the area and it will be easy and accessible for locals to avail the maximum benefit.
He urged the people to avail maximum benefit of the Bank especially the latest technology which had an imperative role in banking and finance. He said that this is an extra mile in connecting this place under the ambit of financial inclusion.
The DDC thanked J&K Bank for putting in major efforts required for achieving the developmental targets in the district.
While appreciating the dedication of J&K Bank staff, he urged upon the bank officials to focus on priority sectors besides social infrastructure.
