DDC G’bal reviews Distt Capex Budget, B2V prog

G’bal: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Saturday chaired a meeting of District and Sectoral Officers to review the progress under District Capex Budget and Back to village program (B2V) at Mini Secretariat here.
The meeting discussed detailed proposals under the District Capex Plan 2021-22 including physical status of projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal, besides progress of works approved under B2V program.
It was informed in the meeting that against the approved plan 50 percent fund authorization has been received from the Finance Department for which the DDC directed the funds shall be released to the concerned departments in a time bound manner as per the guidelines of the Finance Department.
The DDC sought details about the approved works in the last and current financial year and was informed that under regular schemes 146 works are approved which include ongoing and new works besides 1452 works of PRIs, 111 works of BDCs and 543 works of DDCs.
It was further informed that estimation and feasibility of all works is being checked and would be substantially authorized.
While reviewing the progress under the B2V program, the DC directed the concerned that ongoing works of B2V1 should be completed within 15 days.
The officers also raised the issue of availability of material in the Central store for which DDC directed them that a tendering process should be initiated for procurement of material without compromising with the quality.
The DDC directed all the departments to overcome all lacunae and ensure speedy disposal of bottlenecks if any besides, all departments shall submit reports about the works that are not feasible or need to be replaced at an earliest.
During the meeting, the DDC emphasized on completion of all the pending works on priority so that the projects are completed within the stipulated time frame.
She further directed all the executing agencies to take up the new projects/schemes for execution only after the said scheme/projects are free from encumbrances, having administrative approval, technical sanction and provision for funds.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, Muzafar Ahmad, ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, Assistant Commissioner Development, Bilal Mukhtar, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Executive Engineers of various wings and other concerned.
