J&K Police bids farewell to DG Civil Military Liaison Navin Agarwal

Officer worked with dedication throughout his career: DGP Dilbag

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police Friday bid farewell to the Director General Civil Military Liaison, Govt. of J&K Navin Agarwal on his superannuation. He was presented guard of honour at PHQ Lawns, Srinagar.
Director General Police Dilbag Singh, DGP Prison, J&K Dr. B. Srinivas, Special DG Crime A. K. Choudhary, ADGPs’ S. J. M. Gillani, T. Namgyal, M. K. Sinha, IGPs, Garib Dass, Vijay Kumar, Alok Kumar, Director ACB, S. Anand Jain, DIG Central Kashmir, Amit Kumar AIGs of PHQ and other senior officers attended the farewell function.

Speaking on the occasion Navin Agarwal thanked the DGP Dilbag Singh and other police officers for their love and cooperation in his service career. He said that he was proud to be a member of J&K Police. He said that during his services in Jammu and Kashmir, he witnessed the J&K Police force growing strength to strength and today is one of the best police forces of the country. He said that the J & K Police force is the most courageous, well equipped and gallant force of the country and added that under the command of DGP, Dilbag Singh, the force is doing exceptionally well on different fronts. He wished good luck to the entire J&K Police Pariwar.
On the occasion, DGP Dilbag Singh recalled the services of the retiring officer and said that the officer worked with dedication throughout his career. He said that Navin Agarwal was not only a brilliant officer but also a caring associate and hoped that his association with J&K Police would continue even after his retirement. DGP congratulated him for having a successful career and wished him health and blissful post retirement life.
ADGP, Headquarters, PHQ in his introductory speech said that he found Shri Agarwal a very calm, composed and graceful personality. He said that Shri Agarwal, the 1986 batch IPS officer of the AGMUT cadre shouldered significant assignments in various capacities and rendered unblemished services in the police organization for 35 years. The ADGP said that before attaining superannuation as Director General Civil military Liaison, Govt. of J&K, Navin Agarwal remained posted as DG NADA Govt. of India, DG Youth Services and Sports J&K, ADGP Police trainings PHQ, ADGP Prison J&K, ADG Security J&K, IGP Railway J&K, Director Police Academy Udhampur, IGP Home guards & Civil Defense, IGP Armed, DIG Doda Udhampur Range, DPT, J&K, DIG CID Jammu Zone, DIG Armed Police Kashmir, SSP CID Hqrs Jammu/Srinagar, SSP traffic Jammu, SSP Leh, SSP Rajouri and SSP Pulwama, ADGP added. He said that Agarwal has been awarded many medals during his service career which included DGP Medal in 2004, President’s Medal for Meritorious services (PMMS) in 2006, Jammu Kashmir Police Medal (JKPM) in 2011 and President’s Police Medal for distinguished services (PPMDS) in 2013. AIG, (Welfare/Communication) PHQ, Manoj Kumar Pandit presented the vote of thanks on the occasion.
