Kulgam: Arrangements for smooth observation of forthcoming Muharram-ul-Haram were Tuesday reviewed in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi.
During the meeting concerned departments were directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of power and water to Shahoo Sachan, Devsar and other areas of the district.
On the occasion, the concerned were directed to ensure high mast lights/ halogen bulbs and LEDs are installed at all the important places and ensure generator sets are installed at identified locations.
The Jal Shakti authorities were directed to ensure that water tankers are deployed at identified locations.
Municipal authorities were directed to ensure proper sanitation and other cleanliness measures at all the religious places. Fire and Emergency Authorities were directed to remain prepared to deal with any eventuality.
ADDC urged the people to adhere to COVID-19 SOPs to avoid spread of Coronavirus.
