Forest Deptt hosts orientation training for frontline workers

Jammu: A training program for the frontline workers of Forest Department was Monday inaugurated here at Revenue Training Institute, Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo to impart the participants an indepth knowledge of Revenue related documents, instruments and issues which they encounter while performing their day to day duties.
The orientation training has been held under the guidance of Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department Shaleen Kabra and Commissioner Secretary to Government Forest Department, Sanjeev Verma.
The function was attended by Additional Commissioner (Central) FCR Office, Rishpal Singh; Principal Forest Guard Training Institution, Dumi Naresh Magotra; Principal Revenue Training Institute Jammu, Anju Gupta and 18 forest officers/officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Principal Revenue Training Institute Jammu Anju Gupta briefed the trainees and dignitaries about the training curriculum. She said it is the first of its kind training program where the Forest and Revenue Department have come together on one platform to solve issues like illegal encroachments, title suits, nishandehi etc.
Naresh Magotra, in his address, stated that the program aims at imparting in depth knowledge of Revenue related documents, instruments and issues which the frontline forest Officers/Officials encounter while performing their day to day duties.
A similar program is being run at Revenue Training Institute Srinagar Division too. Additional Commissioner (Central) FCR Office, Rishpal Singh, who was the chief guest at the inaugural function, thanked the Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department and Commissioner Secretary to Government Forest Department for bringing the Revenue and Forest Officers/Officials in one to one discussion which will be of great help to mitigate the issues resulting in many Court cases and thus hampering the delivery of justice.
The Additional Commissioner (Central) FCR Office thanked the organizers and wished the participants a successful training period at the Revenue Training Institute Gole Gujral Jammu.
