Srinagar: As a goodwill gesture and to boost the morale of the families of slain police personnel , Police distributed Eid gifts and sweets among the families of slain police personnel in Budgam & Shopian.
A police statement issued on Tuesday said “Police in Budgam & Shopian visited families of police personnel killed in the line of duty and distributed Eid gifts among them”, adding that “Officers from the district extended their heartfelt Eid wishes to the families of police martyr’s and wished them happiness and success in their lives”.
The police statement further reads “While interacting with the families of Police personnel killed in the line of duty, Officers from the district extended their warm greetings on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha and assured every possible support to them” , adding that “ they also enquired about the health and other welfare issues of NOKs”.
In the concluding para of the above quoted statement police said “the families of martyrs expressed gratitude and their happiness for the police department for this kind and empathetic gesture”.
