DC B’la chairs meet, reviews arrangements for I-Day celebration

Baramulla:: In order to review the arrangements for celebration of Independence Day function 2021, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Monday chaired a meeting of concerned officers at dak bungalow here to take stock of various necessary measures for its smooth celebration.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion on the subject was held wherein it was informed that the main function shall be held at District Police Lines where the National flag hoisting ceremony will be held. It was further informed that the function will start with the playing of Shahnai Wadan, to be played by the Information Department after which contingents of JKAP, Police, IRP, CRPF, NCC,Fire & Emergency and school children will present the march past.
Speaking on the occasion, DC stressed upon the concerned officers to work with coordination and cohesion so that function is conducted smoothly. He directed to make all the requisite arrangements including composition of parade, display of tableaus, cultural items, rehearsal, transport arrangements, seating arrangements, printing and issuance of invitation cards etc. well in advance.
The DC also directed the CEO to properly arrange the colorful cultural items to be presented by the concerned. He also emphasized to constitute a panel of experts who shall select the best performing teams for the main function.
Meanwhile, it was decided that similar functions shall be organized at Sub-divisional levels where the concerned authorities shall hoist the national flag.
Meeting was attended by ADDC Aijaz Abdullah Saraaf, ADC Mohammad Ahsan Mir, ADC Sopore Parvez Sajad, SDM Gulmarg, SDM Pattan, CMO, CEO and heads of concerned departments, officer from Police besides other district and sectoral officers.
