Concerted efforts on to improve Power scenario: DC Shopian

Shopian:: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kimar Vaishya Monday said that the District Administration is always on the forefront to facilitate the people of Shopian district with all the basic amenities including uninterrupted power supply.
He said that concerted efforts are underway to improve the power scenario in the district and in this regard directions have been passed to the concerned and the executing agencies to gear up the works and leave no stone unturned for providing better power supply to the inhabitants especially those living in the far-flung areas of the district.
The DC said that the pace and progress of all the works are being monitored by the designated officers closely.
He added that to augment power supply, a 100 KV Sub-Station at Bus Stand Batapora has recently been completed at an estimated cost of Rs.3.05 lakhs and this year new up-gradation works of above Rs. 1 Crore has also been approved for further strengthening and improving the power scenario in the district.He said that people should come forward and cooperate with the District Administration.
