Srinagar: A 17-year-old girl tried to end her life by hanging herself at home in Charar-i-Sharief area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
Sources said that the girl (name withheld) hanged herself at her home and was immediately rushed to SDH Charar-e-Sharief, where from she was referred to SMHS Srinagar in a critical condition.
The official said that it was not immediately known as to why she took this extreme step
