Prof Azurdah releases Farooq Fayaz’s “ Zale Dub” at Yousmarg

Budgam: A distinct scholarly work of extra ordinary importance in the contemporary literary scenario of Kashmir. Titled “Zale Dub” authored by noted Kashmiri cultural Historian, poet and critic Prof Farooq Fayaz was released for review at green pastures of Yousmarg in a simple and graceful function today on 14th July by famous writer and poet Prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurdah, (Former HOD Kashmiri in presence of Prof Shad Ramzan noted Kashmiri poet and writer, M. Amin Bhat noted playwright and president Adbee Markaz Kamraz, Mushtaq Muharam, Kashmiri Writer,Inayat Gul, Writer and General Secretary Kashmir Bazmi Adab e saqafat, Cherisharief. Last but not least Writer Farooq Fayaz.

The book offers a penetrating insight into the processes and diverse trends which had a role in shaping the texture of Kashmiri contemporary analytical literature. The marked feature of the book rests on its thematic variety and diversity.The articles contained in the book range from Master Zinda Kaul to Prof. Nasim Shifai in poetic section, and in the prose section Prof. Mohiuddin Hajni to Prof Iqbal Nazki.
Speaking on the occasion, in his presidential address Prof Azurdah while highlighting special features of the book stressed upon importance of such scholarly works for uplifting the standard of Kashmiri literature with focus on younger generation of writers. Prof Shad while complimenting the writer ,observed that such scholarly works shall be of great help for the post graduate students and research scholars of Kashmiri and Academic importance of this book is extra ordinary. Playwright Mohd Amin Bhat, President Adbee Markaz Kamraz observed that Prof Farooq Fayaz’s regular scholarly contribution for promotion of Kashmiri language and Literature deserves all praise. Former information officer and writer Mushtaq Mohram,in his vote of thanks also highlighted contribution of Prof. Farooq Fayaz for Kashmiri literature. Inayat Gul,who presented the gist of his paper on the book said that it was an honour for our organisation to host this function. Vote of thanks, was presented by Kashmiri poet and language activists Younis Wahid. The entire proceedings of the function were beautifully anchored by noted poet Younis Waheed.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Translator and poet Ali Ashan, Mirza Vilayat Zaman, Nazir Salik, G. R Sadoor social activist Farooq A Mir from Pulwama alongwith his colleagues and local writers and students. The formal release function of the book shall be held at Srinagar in near future.
