Jammu: Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat on Thursday reviewed security situation during his visit to Rajouri and Poonch districts along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Gen Rawat visited Rajouri and Poonch Sector along Line of Control and reviewed the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness,” said defence sources.
Gen Bipin Rawat has arrived in Jammu on Wednesday evening to review security situation in the aftermath of twin drone attacks on high security zone of Air Force Station, Jammu.
On June 27, two bombs were airdropped from drones on Jammu Air Force Station leaving two IAF personnel injured.
Gen Rawat met top officers of Army, Police, Para-military and intelligence agencies.
National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the Air Force Station attacks.
“Army has also enhanced it’s patrol along the LoC and have been equipped with modern gadgets to tackle drone attacks and infiltration attempts from across the border,” they said.
