DDC B’la chairs DLTFC meet, sanctions 156 cases for self employment under JKREGP

Baramulla: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Wednesday chaired District Level Task Force Committee meeting here to discuss various cases for grant of self employment loans under Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) sponsored by Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) Baramulla.
On the occasion, a threadbare discussion was held during which 156 cases out of 157 received applications, were sanctioned for grant of loans for self employment programme. These cases were approved keeping in view various parameters necessary for the approval of such loans.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that such an initiative will enable the youth to earn their sustainable livelihoods by means of several self employment opportunities. He said that various efforts are being taken to promote self employment opportunities and urged upon the youth to come forward and avail benefits of several welfare schemes.
Meanwhile, an interactive session was held with the applicants during which they expressed their intentions with regard to their self employment avenues. The DC appreciated their determination and emphasized upon them to work hard in their respective fields. He exhorted upon the beneficiaries to identify their role and contribute towards the socio-economic development of the society.
General Manager DIC, Accounts Officer, AD Employment, District Officer KVIB Baramulla, Principal ITI Baramulla, Lead District Manager, representatives of J&K Bank, Grameen bank and state bank of India were present in the meeting.
