Anantnag: Kokernag Administration in collaboration with Health Department Tuesday organised a one day training cum awareness program on “Management of Pediatric COVID-19 Patients” at Budget Accommodation Kokernag, here.
The programme served as Training of Trainers (TOTs) wherein the field officials of health were given basic training cum awareness on the prevention, effects and treatment of Covid in children.
SDM Kokernag, Er. Sarib Sahran supervised the event besides BMO Larnoo, Dr. Gowhar and other senior doctors attended the proceedings.
On the occasion, the resource person, Dr. Shahid Bashir Banday, (Paediatric Surgeon) imparted key training and professional advice to about 30 participants including medical officers of PHC and NTPHCs and pharmacists of the subdivision.
The awareness session was conducted in light of apprehensions with regard to possible 3rd Covid Wave and its effects on infants/children.
During the course of the session, the SDM called for building proper capacities and making proactive preparations to thwart effects of Covid on children during the possible 3rd wave.
It is important to mention that the participating medical officers shall train the rest of the staff in their respective jurisdictions in coming days.
