DDC Ang. lays foundation stone for shopping complex at Achabal

Anantnag: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla Tuesday laid the foundation stone for construction of a U-shaped shopping complex at Achabal here, under the My Town My Pride Programme.
President Municipal Committee Achabal, Imtiyaz Ahmad and officials of the MC were present at the inaugural ceremony.
Later, the DDC visited different work sites and inspected the ongoing developmental projects under various sectors in the district.
At GHSS Brakpora, the DDC directed the executing agencies to complete the ongoing work of the science library and other buildings within the stipulated time frame.
Dr. Singla made an on spot assessment of pace of work on 150000 Gallons capacity Over Head Tank under Water Supply Scheme, Brinty and directed for its completion along with the distribution system in a time bound manner.
At Rampora, Kehribal, the DDC reviewed the ongoing work for NTPHC which is nearing completion. He directed the Engineering Wing of JKPHC to complete the said work within the set timeline besides issued instructions for its compound walling.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said a number of important projects in PHE, health, education and other sectors are under execution in the district. He added the administration is making serious efforts to complete them in near future for the overall good of the people.
The DDC was accompanied by CPO, ACR, CMO, concerned Engineers and Tehsildars and field functionaries of various departments.
