Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the District Hospital Shopian and inspected various sections and wards.
On the occasion, he inspected Emergency, Trauma Ward, operation theatre, ECG unit, Dental section, X-ray, Dialysis Centre, ECHO Lab, Gynae and Post Operation wards. He also interacted with the patients and enquired from them about their wellbeing and other medicare facilities being provided to them.
The DDC took a review of overall scenario of district hospital including quality healthcare System, emergency services, critical care and trauma management and intensive Care Units, District Mental Healthcare Unit, Referrals, Sanitation, Blood Bank, Non Communicable Diseases, Implementation of Ayushmaan Bharat and other Govt sponsored schemes.
On the occasion , Medical Superintendent, Dr. Mohammad Ismail informed the DDC about the innovative measures taken by the hospital authorities in this regard. He also apprised the DDC regarding the nest practice models adopted by DH Shopian.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC urged upon the Health functionaries to ensure better healthcare facilities to the patients and come up to the expectations of the patients and enjoined upon the hospital administration to focus on quality assurance, accessible affordable health care so that satisfaction level among the users of Govt health facilities is enhanced and people repose faith in public health. He assured all possible support related to better healthcare services.
The DDC was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Mohammad Shafiat ,Chief Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Shopian and other concerned officers of the district.
Earlier, the DDC asked the officials to prepare comprehensive short-term and long-term policies for beautification of the Shopian Town.
The DDC conducted an extensive tour to review the beautification of Shopian Town and its peripheries through focused interventions of various departments in landscaping by plantation of flowers and ornamental trees around main Market and other places of the Town.
He asked the concerned departments to work in synergy to complete the beautification works as early as possible while maintaining good quality of the works.
The DDC stressed for maintaining SOPs including wearing of Masks, Covid Appropriate Behaviour, proper hand washing and other guidelines issued by the Government off and on to curb the coronavirus completely.
