Srinagar: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Tuesday held a weekly review meeting with Planning Wing and Works Division of SMC under different account heads. Meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner Administration SMC, Joint Commissioner Works, FA/ CAO, S.E Drainage, ADP, Xens’s of Right River works and left River Works, officials from Planning wing , and other officials.
Addressing the meeting Commisioner SMC Athar Aamir Kan stressed on timely completion of works and directed the concerned to strictly maintain quality of works including lanes drains and tile works etc.
While reviewing various works of each sub division, the Commissioner SMC said Quality audit of works in progress including the completed works needs to be conducted. He also reviewed Head wise Physical/ Financial status of works including city drainage division and passed on directions to expedite with all the works that are in place and meet the deadlines already set for completion of various works. While reviewing planning wing he said that Building permission process should not halt at any stage and directed the officials to have timely disposal of files at each stage. While reviewing the status of issuance of Building permissions, clearance of backlogs and the number of fresh cases in process including the revenue generation, Commissioner SMC said that a quick disposal whether approved or rejected has to be done.
