VC, DDC Kupwara visits various areas of Lolab, Chairs joint meetings of Officers, PRIs & citizens

Kupwara: Vice Chairperson (VC), District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir Monday visited various areas of Lolab sub division including far flung Gagal, Potshai, Warnow, and heard problems and grievances of the people.
The VC, DDC was accompanied by SDM Lolab, Aijaz Ahmad Bhat; AC Panchayats, Shabir Ahmad; Executive Engineer R&B and other concerned officers.
At Potushai, the Vice Chairperson chaired a joint meeting of officers, PRIs and the general public.
Speaking at the occasion, the Vice Chairperson said that the three tier Panchayati Raj System has come into place with more power to the people of rural areas especially the people living in far flung areas for ensuring development. He said that people at ground level are being heard and their issues are being resolved in a time bound manner.
On the occasion, PRIs and the people put forth their issues relating to Water supply, Power, and maintenance of inner roads.
The Vice Chairperson heard them patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving the problems of the people.
Later on, the VC visited several areas including Potshai-B, Gagal and Upper Warnow and listened to the public.
The VC inspected NTPHC Maidanpora and took stock of the functioning of the hospital. He directed the BMO Sogam to ensure adequate numbers of doctors are deployed at the NTPHC so that people of the area may not face any inconvenience. He also inspected the Sub Centre Gagal.
