NIA arrests accused persons in fresh raid in Srinagar, South Kashmir parts

Srinagar/July, 11: National Investigation Agency (NIA) Sunday raided multiple locations in Kashmir Valley and arrested some accused persons in different cases.

Reports quoted sources saying that ‘NIA along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF raided a Darul Uloom located in Nawabazar in  Srinagar the summer capital and subsequently conducted searches’,adding that ‘Some important documents, a laptop were seized on spot and its chairman Adnaan Ahmad Nadvi son of Noor Din Bhat, a resident of Hawal was arrested by NIA for further investigation’. Sources further said that the Darul Uloom  raided by NIA is believed to have affiliation with Darul Uloom Lucknow.

Similarly, reports from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district said that raids were conducted at several locations including Pushroo Achbal, Magray Pora Achabal, Sunsooma Achabal by NIA along with Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF. Reports further said that all but five persons identified as Javid Ahmad Mir son of Mohammad Shaban Mir (23), resident of Sunsooma Achabal, Umar Bhat son of Nissar Bhat, a resident of Magray Mohalla Achabal running a readymade shop, Owais Ahmad Baht son of Nissar Ah Bhat resident of Magray Mohall Achabal,  Taveer Ah Bhat Son of Gul Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Goori Mohalla Achabal and Zeeshan Amin Malik son of Mohammad Amin Malik, a resident of Pushroo Nowagam were detained for further questioning. Some important documents and laptops were seized for further investigations by the NIA. Further details are likely to follow,
