LeT militant arrested in B’pora, arms & ammunition recovered: Police

Srinagar: Bandipora police on Friday said that it has arrested a militant of Lashkar e Toiba (LeT) militant outfits and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession in Hajin
In a statement issued here on Friday police said that on that basis of a specific input about the movement of militants towards Hajin town a joint Naka was established in Gundjahangeer area of Hajin town by Bandipora police, 13RR, IRP 21th Bn and 45 Bn CRPF and during Naka a suspicious person was tactfully apprehended who disclosed his identity as Muzammil Sheikh @ Abu Maviya R/o Chandergeer Hajin.
Stating that incriminating material along with arms and ammunition including one chinese pistol along with live rounds) were recovered from the possession of the above named accused person, police in it’s statement said “the said person had joined LeT militant outfit recently and was tasked to carry out subversive activities in and around Hajin town”
In the concluded para of its above referred statement police said “FIR under relevant sections of law was registered in police station Hajin and further investigation has been initiated”.
