JK Govt releases selection grade to 27 retired KAS officers

Jammu: The Jammu & Kashmir Government on Thursday released selection Grade to 27 KAS officers. According to an order issued from the General Administration Department, the selection grade of J&K Administrative Service (Rs. 15,600- 39,100 with GP Rs. 7600 pre-revised) was released in favour of the following retired officers with effect from the dates indicated against each:
1. Sheikh Nazir Ahmad, w.e.f, 16.10.2008
2. Mohammad Ashraf Shanthoo, w.e.f, 10.2008
3. Shyam Lal Bijyal , w.e.f, 16.10.2008,
4. Mohammad Yousuf Dar, w.e.f, 10.2008
5. Amar Singh , w.e.f, 16.10.2008
6. Iftikhar Ahmad Banday, w.e.f, 10.2008
7. Javed Ahmed Shah , w.e.f, 16.10.2008
8. Soba Ram , w.e.f, 16.10.2008
9. Abdul Gani Sofi , w.e.f, 16.10.2008
10. Mohammad Aslam Qadiri, Notionally , w.e.f, 10.2008 and on regular basis,w.e.f, 17.6.2009
11. Verinder Slathia ,w.e.f ,16.10.2008
12. Romesh Chander Sharma ,w.e.f, 16.10.2008
13. Mohammad Anwar ,w.e.f, 16.10.2008
14. Gurdarshan Singh ,w.e.f, 16.10.2008
15. Soujanya Kumar Sharma_,w.e.f, 16.10.2008

The order further states that the above promotions shall be subject to the outcome of writ petition(s), if any, pending before the competent court(s) of law; and the notional promotion shall be without payment of arrears.
