Go for vaccination, follow SOP’s: Dr Bilal

Kulgam: With the advent of COVID-19 throughout country and also in J&K Dr. Bilal Ahmad who was posted at Health & Wellness Center Kadder Block Yaripora district Kulgam decided to voluntarily serve the COVID-19 Patients in addition to his legitimate duties.
But his will to serve COVID-19 patients get wings when he was designated as Incharge COVID-19 Hospital at MCH Kulgam.
In the month of May 2020, after taking up the responsibility he joined as Incharge COVID-19 designated Hospital Kulgam with his team.
After that Dr.Bilal started rendering his services to the COVID patients with all dedication and professional expertise.
While traversing through the part of serving the COVID patients, Dr.Bilal got infected with the virus, however, he managed the online consultations to patients and other assignment of COVID hospital during the quarantine period.
A new challenge posed in the shape of COVID-19 second wave and again Dr.Bilal was designated as Incharge COVID-19 designated Hospital Kulgam but this time the situation was altogether different in terms of gravity of disease and quantum of patients.
While recalling the situation arisen during second wave Dr.Bilal said that it was very hectic to manage the Patients, who were admitted in the hospital with low Oxygen Saturation and, unfortunately, some of our nears and dears lost the battle in spite of the fact that we put best of our efforts to save them.
The situation was so panicky and grim but we didn’t lose the hope to serve the patients and bring them out of the clutches of this deadly virus.
My family and friends were concerned about me, however, they always supported and encouraged me which boosted my morale to deliver with much enthusiasm zeal and dedication.
During this ferocious 2nd wave, 339 patients were admitted and I along with my team served the patients and will keep my services available at all times said Dr.Bilal.
In his message, Dr bilal appealed all citizens to go for the vaccination, follow SOP’s and don’t lower the guard with the decline in positivity rate. This is the only way to fight against COVID-19 3rd Wave, he added.
