Srinagar/ July,7 : Divisional Commissioner Kashmir PK Poley on Wednesday visited several parts of Srinagar City to take stock of civil works and other developmental projects to be executed by different departments including SMC, R& B, Drainage circle, Tourism and other allied implementing agencies.
Divisional Commissioner PK Poley visited Storm water Drainage scheme at Indra Nagar Sonwar to review its proper functionality.Poley also visited ACTS SSP traffic department to review the control room set in place for traffic activities on different roads and traffic junctions established by SMC under AMRUT. He also visited car parking Smart City limited at Polo view Lal chowk and has passed on directions to go for its tendering with a proper procedure and tender is to be floated in time.
Pole on the occasion also emphasized that there has to be an inbuilt cycle track along with all the car parking centres located at different points in the city so as to create a space for cyclists too.
The newly fixed tiles on the footpath opposite to the High Court and the functionong of ornamental lighting poles put in place by SMC at the entire stretch of Secretariat road ,were also reviewed. He also visited park identified as Green space at Bemina where Pole instructed the concerned to remove the electric poles erected around the park and go for its proper alignment. In Shalteng area Poley also reviewed Drainage water scheme. He also visited the under construction site of Dumduma Sahib Gurdwara to take stock of ongoing work and has directed the concerned to expedite with the process. While visiting the Jamia Masjid market at Nauhatta, Poley took review on ongoing work of Ablution block and facade revamping of the market as well and passed on directions to speed up with the remaining work so that it is completed within stipulated time.During visit to different city parts Divisional Commissioner Kashmir was also accompanied by DC Srinagar Aijaz Asad, Commissioner SMC Athar Aamir , S.E R& B, S.E Drainage, S.E Tourism Technical and Support unit, Joint Commissioner Works SMC, Joint Commissioner Administration SMC, Xen Smart City, TASU team
