Jammu: Almost a week later when two bombs were airdropped from drones at high security zone of Jammu Air Force Station, the investigation agencies have found use of RDX in the blasts.
The attack was first of its kind in the country.
Sources in the investigation agencies, here on Monday told UNI, “the preliminary investigation has disclosed the use of RDX in the explosives airdropped on the Air Force base.”
Nitrate was also included in the bombs to make it more powerful, they said.
Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Dilbag Singh had already said that Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit was suspected to have been behind the drone attacks.
The case was handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The aerial distance from the Jammu airport to the international border is 12-14 kilometres.
Security agencies have already installed an anti-drone system at the Air Force station.
Jammu Police is carrying out search operation on daily basis in the areas near the Air Force Station and have also started verification of tenants staying at these locations without proper police registration.
Many border districts like Rajouri, Kathua have imposed ban on use, sale and purchase of drones or any flying objects.
Jammu police have directed the wedding photographers and event planners, who are using drones in functions, to report their concerned police stations with details.
