Srinagar, Jammu: Jammu & Kashmir on Friday reported 331 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 77 from Jammu division and 254 from Kashmir division, thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 316291. Also 06 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 05 from Jammu Division and 01 from Kashmir Division. With these six more deaths the overall covid death toll has mounted to 4333 in Jammu & Kashmir. Moreover, 437 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 158 from Jammu Division and 279 from Kashmir Division.Besides this, 87.27 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.The Bulletin also informs that no new confirmed case of Mucormycosis has been reported Friday, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 29 in J&K.
In it’s daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19) Jammu & Kashmir Government on Friday said that out of 316291 positive cases, 4209 are Active Positive, 307749 have recovered and 4333 have died; 2112 in Jammu division and 2221 in Kashmir division.The Bulletin further said that out of 10077056 test results available, 9760765 samples have been tested as negative till Friday.Till date 2446492 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 13014 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 4209 in isolation and 229554 in home surveillance. Besides, 2195382 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 70121 positive cases (including 78 cases reported Friday) with 788 Active Positive, 68504 recovered (including 71 cases recovered Friday), 829 deaths; Baramulla has 23290 positive cases (including 27 cases reported Friday) with 277 Active Positive, 22735 recovered (including 24 cases recovered Friday), 278 deaths; Budgam reported 22605 positive cases (including 29 cases reported Friday) with 240 active positive cases, 22161 recovered (including 25 cases recovered Friday), 204 deaths; Pulwama has 14897 positive cases (including 27 cases reported Friday) with 168 Active Positive, 14537 recovered (including 40 cases recovered Friday) and 192 deaths; Kupwara has 13833 positive cases (including 18 cases reported Friday), 240 Active Positive, 13428 recoveries (including 31 cases recovered Friday), 165 deaths; Anantnag district has 16116 positive cases (including 26 cases reported Friday) with 177 Active Positive, 15736 recovered (including 15 cases recovered Friday), 203 deaths; Bandipora has 9312 positive cases (including 06 cases reported Friday), with 124 Active Positive, 9088 recoveries (including 20 cases recovered Friday), 100 deaths; Ganderbal has 9620 positive cases (including 19 cases reported Friday) with 182 Active Positive, 9362 recoveries (including 27 cases recovered Friday) and 76 deaths; Kulgam has 11089 positive cases (including 22 cases reported Friday) with 171 Active Positive, 10802 recoveries (including 23 cases recovered Friday) and 116 deaths while as Shopian has 5556 positive cases (including 02 cases reported Friday) with 10 active positive cases, 5488 recoveries (including 03 cases recovered Friday) and 58 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has 52411 positive cases (including 12 cases reported Friday) with 515 active positive cases, 50761 recoveries (including 52 cases recovered Friday), 1135 deaths; Udhampur has 11187 positive cases (including 07 cases reported Friday), 90 active positive cases, 10966 recoveries (including 09 cases recovered Friday) and 131 deaths; Rajouri has 10721 positive cases (including 07 cases reported Friday) with 130 active positive, 10371 recoveries (including 27 cases recovered Friday) and 220 deaths; Doda has 6852 positive cases (including 13 cases reported Friday) with 218 Active positive, 6517 recovered (including 26 cases recovered Friday) and 117 deaths; Kathua has 9212 positive cases (including 05 cases reported Friday) with 32 active positive cases, 9031 recovered (including 06 cases recovered Friday) and 149 deaths; Samba has 7087 positive cases (including 03 cases reported Friday) with 52 active positive cases, 6916 recoveries and 119 deaths; Kishtwar has 4493 positive cases (including 08 cases reported Friday) with 143 Active Positive, 4308 recoveries (including 07 cases recovered Friday) and 42 deaths; Poonch has 6110 positive cases (including 04 cases reported Friday) with 220 active positive, 5798 recoveries (including 13 cases recovered Friday) and 92 deaths; Ramban has 5855 positive cases (including 13 cases reported Friday) with 115 active positive cases, 5676 recoveries and 64 deaths while Reasi has 5924 positive cases (including 05 cases reported Friday) with 317 active positive cases, 5564 recoveries (including 18 cases recovered Friday) and 43 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 316291 positive cases in J&K, 22408 have been reported as travelers while 293883 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 2485 COVID dedicated beds, 2081 Isolation beds with 2006 vacant beds and 404 ICU beds where 379 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 3353 COVID dedicated beds, 3074 Isolation beds where 2823 beds are vacant and 279 ICU beds where 218 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are a total of 5838 COVID dedicated beds, 5155 Isolation beds with 4829 beds vacant and 683 ICU beds with 597 vacant beds in Jammu and Kashmir.
