Srinagar: National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday expressed anguish over the incident of massive conflagration that broke out at Hijwa Village of Khari tehsil in Ramban district affecting nearly thirty families.
While expressing sorrow over the massive inferno, Dr. Farooq, and Omar Abdullah said the heart wrenching fire incident and the resultant plight suffered by the victims has distressed them. The duo expressed unison with the affected and prayed for their quick revival. They also impressed upon the concerned administration agencies and divisional administration Jammu to ensure speedy revival and rehabilitation of the victims. They called for rushing in revenue teams to the spot to assess the losses that an adequate compensation is worked out and distributed among victims instantaneously. The president and vice also sought up gradation and augmentation of fire tendering facilities in the entire Chenab and Pir Panjal belt.
