Srinagar: As a token of appreciation for their services to the Department the Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of rupees over 60.74 Lakh in favour of Eighty one Police personnel of J&K Police who are retiring from services on 30 of June 2021 after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
An official statement issued by J&K Police Department on Wednesday reads “Sanction has been issued vide PHQ J&K order No.1906 in favour of three gazetted officers, sixty-four non gazetted, ten lower subordinates, and four followers”, adding that “ the personnel belong to different units and wings of the department”.
The order further reads “retirement gift of rupees seventy-five thousand each is sanctioned to police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement”, adding that “the gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department”.
The concluding para of the above referred police statement reads “As a gesture of welfare, Police Headquarters (PHQ) has sanctioned over rupees 6.76 Crore and seventy-five thousand retirement gift in favour of nine hundred three police personnel this year so far”.
