DC Shopian hands over Sanction Orders Of Rs. 1.75 among beneficiaries under SASCM/ SAKSHAM

Shopian: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday handed over sanctioned orders amounting to Rs. 1.75 Lakh as financial assistance under Special Assistance Scheme for Covid Mortalities (SASCM)/Saksham.
Under the said scheme financial assistance as monthly pension of Rs. 1000 is provided to those families who have lost their only or all earning members and scholarship of Rs. 20000 and 40000 upto 12th class and for UG/PG & Professional Courses respectively to children who have lost their earning parents or earnings siblings or earning legal guardians.
13 sanction orders amounting to Rs. 55000 for pension to dependent family members of covid mortalities and 8 sanction orders amounting to Rs. 1.20 Lakh as scholarship to 8 students were handed over in a function organised at Mini Secretariat Shopian.
While interacting with the beneficiaries, the DDC assured them that District Administration is always at their back for any kind of assistance. He informed that a special cell has been constituted at apex level to facilitate the family members of covid mortalities in availing benefits under various self employment schemes besides ensuring proper education of children who have lost their parents/siblings/guardians to deadly Covid-19 virus.
