Regarding vaccination status, DC said about 84% of the population of the age group of 45 and above has been vaccinated.
The way the process is going, we hope in the next few days 100% of the target will be achieved. The DC further said that administration has eased restrictions and simultaneously allowed all business activities to run for 5 days a week excluding Saturday, Sundays as these are designated curfew days. The administration has not downsized any containment measures, we are keeping close vigil on the situation which is improving day by day.
However, it was observed that some people are not following SOPs other guidelines strictly, violations are there as the public has started lowering guard and are not wearing masks or maintaining social distancing.
I again appeal to people to kindly follow all appropriate Covid containment measures, cooperate with the administration in making District Budgam Covid-19 pandemic free. Violation shall not be tolerated, this shall be treated as information as well as warning to all such persons found violating Covid-19 containment norms, guidelines and SOPs, Particularly at all public gathering places that from now onwards strict action as envisaged under DDMA rules will be instantly taken against them.
