CAB, Vaccination only weapons to defeat Covid pandemic: DC Kupwara

Kupwara:Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din Friday said that Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB)and Vaccination are the only weapons through which Covid can be defeated.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a presser convened here Friday to give details regarding Covid-19 containment measures. He said district Kupwara recorded Recovery rate of 96%, Fatality Rate of 1.16% and Positivity rate of 1.61%.
Regarding isolation, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district has 293 patients in home isolation and 27 in hospital isolation.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that vaccination is going on in a mission mode to achieve cent percent target and 57% of target population in the district have been vaccinated against Covid-19 so far.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal to the general public to follow COVID SOPs and come forward for vaccination.
