Jammu:Police on Friday said that it has recovered 6 Gms of heroin in Domana area of Jammu district and also arrested one peddler in this connection.
In a statement issued on Friday police said “a police team of Police Station Domana led by SHO P/S Domana Inspr. Mahesh Sharma assisted by PSI Nitesh Khajuria while on naka duty rounded up a suspect namely Mohd Shabir S/O Zakir Hussain R/O Mang naar Tehsil Haveli Distt. Poonch and during searches 6 Gms of Heroin were recovered from his illegal possession.
In it’s above referred statement police said “ case FIR No. 172/2021 U/s 08/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at P/S Domana and accused was also arrested, stating therein further that the overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Kousheen Koul, stating therein further that further investigation of the case is going on.
Saying that Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace, police in the concluding para of the statement appealed people of the area to come forward and share information about drug peddling or consumption on 9086100100 or 100 with Police for the cause, assuring therein that the identity of those sharing information will be kept confidential.
