Srinagar: Police in Srinagar on Friday said that it has solved five theft cases by arresting six accused persons involved in the commission of crimes and have recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Friday police said that officers from Police Station Shaheed Gunj arrested three Juvenile accused persons and recovered three Scooties, one Bike & a Maruti car along with bunch of keys and other equipments used in the commission of crimes from them. Stating that out of three Juvenile accused persons one is resident of UP who is expert in making duplicate keys, police in it’s statement further said that all the Juvenile accused persons were sent to Juvenile Home by Hon’ble Court on remand and cases under FIR numbers 65/2021, 66/2021 and 69/2021 under relevant section of laws were already registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj.
Police in the above referred statement also said that it has solved a theft case FIR No 73/2021 of PS Shaheed Gunj in which cash amount of ₹4 lakh was stolen from a vehicle at Old Secretariat Srinagar, stating therein further that one accused person involved in the commission of crime has been arrested from Lawaypora and stolen amount has been recovered from his possession. In the concluding para of the above referred statement police said that during the investigation of case FIR No. 67/2021 of PS Shaheed Gunj, Police have arrested 02 accused persons and have recovered cash amount of Rs 52000/- from their possession.
