Srinagar: National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of veteran party leader and Former MLA Sonawari Ghulam Rasool Bahar, who breathed his last at SKIMS, Soura.
In his demise, I have lost an irreplaceable comrade and a trusted colleague, said Dr. Farooq in his condolence message. While recalling the contribution of the deceased, he said late Bahar sahib was a selfless social worker and a conscious politician, who will be remembered for the sheer integrity and concern for people and the party. On his demise I pay my tributes to him and pray for peace to his soul in the highest echelons of Jannat. I express my sympathies with the bereaved family and pray for fortitude to them in their hour of loss and grief.
Omar Abdullah in his condolence message said, “Received the news of Bahar Sahib’s passing away. His name will figure out in the annals of history as someone who remained loyal to the party in an un-swearing manner during the most trying times. Sharing in the grief of the bereaved family, I pray for forbearance to them during this difficult time. I also pray to the Almighty to grant the deceased highest stations in Jannat,” he said.
