Srinagar/ June, 24: Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has amid a much hyped meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with J&K leaders shot off two letters to Prime Minister for restoration of all constitutional and administrative rights to Jammu and Kashmir taken away from it on August 5, 2019 .
In a letter e- mailed to Prime Minister of India, ahead of All Parties Meet on Jammu and Kashmir affairs Hakeem in his letter to Prime Minister Modi said ” On August 5,2019 constitutional status of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir was changed without the consent and approval of Jammu and Kashmir mainstream leadership and since then several constitutional and administrative measures have been adopted and implemented in Jammu and Kashmir, against the will of people”. He in his letter to the Prime also says that “people irrespective of their political, religious, and regional affiliations are voicing strong concern over amendments in citizenship rights concerning their rights over land and jobs” . PDF Chairman in his letter to the Prime Minister has also urged him to take all possible measures for evolving a consensus on administrative and constitutional aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir much before Supreme Court delivers it’s verdict on the matter”. Reiterating that in a democratic set up political process was the mother of all constitutional and administrative aspirations of the people,Hakeem in his letter to the Prime Minister has also urged him to take all required measures for restoration of erstwhile state subject laws, land and job rights.
In another letter shot off to Prime Minister, Hakeem has sought adequate representation to real stakeholders including former two time and three time MLAs in the delimitation commission to enable them to present the view points of the people of their concerned constituencies before the commission on the issue.
