Dr Farooq, Omar, JKPCC, Altaf, JKPC, Hakeem, Tarigami condemn killing of police Inspector at Nowgam

Srinagar: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah, Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, President J&K Apni Party Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukari, Jammu & Kashmir Pepoples Conference, Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen and CPI(M) Secretary M Y Tarigam in their separate statement on Wednesday condemned the killing of a a police Inspector who was shot near his home in Nowgam.

In his condolence message the National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “I condemn the killing of the cop in unequivocal terms. The killing is a grim reminder of the jinxed fate of our region. There is no place for such acts in today’s world. I express my sympathies with the bereaved and pray for peace to departed.” While condemning the attack, party vice president Omar Abdullah said such attacks should be condemned without any reservation. “The terrible news coming from Nowgam about the killing of a cop is heart wrenching. I mince no words in my condemnation of the outrageous bloodshed. The violence in all its forms and manifestations constitutes the most serious threat to the dignity of human life and universal peace. I express my deepest sympathies with his family and pray for peace to the departed soul,” he said.
Condemning the killing of Police Inspector Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) termed the incident as “inhuman and mindless act”. In it’s condolence statement issued here on Wednesday the JKPCC also demanded that the perpetrators of the attack must be identified for exemplary punishment. The party expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, and conveyed heartfelt condolences to family and friends of slain Pervez Ahmad Dar and prayed for his eternal peace. The killings in any form are highly condemnable and unacceptable in a civilized society, must be condemned by every section of the people, JKPCC added and urged the authorities to take effective measures to contain such inhuman and mindless attacks, JKPCC added
In his condemnation statement issued here on Tuesday, the Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari termed the dastardly attack as shocking and heart wrenching while expressing his profound condolences with the bereaved family. He said that violence holds no validation in any civilized society and such acts have only worsened the situation in Jammu and Kashmir for long now. “The forces inimical to peace have always tried to create a situation of fear and panic through bloodshed and killings of the innocent. This vicious cycle of death in J&K needs to end now. I utterly condemn this despicable attack and extend my sympathies to the family of the slain cop,” he observed. Bukhari expressed his resentment over such inhumane incidents while asserting that many families have lost their sole bread owners to this senseless violence. “The government must disburse adequate ex-gratia relief to the family of the slain cop. Many precious lives have been lost in these brutal acts and it needs to be ensured that such heinous acts are preemptively impeded in the future,” he demanded.
Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference while condemning the killing police Inspector Parvez Ahmad Dar in Srinagar on Tuesday evening said that such actions are “ barbarous and inhuman to the core”. The party spokesperson Adnan Mir in a statement issued on Wednesday said that such ruthless and senseless acts of violence are nonsensical and deserve condemnation from all corners of the society. In fact, said the spokesman, such inhuman actions must never have any societal acceptance.Commiserating with the bereaved family members, the spokesman has prayd for the departed soul.
In a separate statement issued on Wednesday the Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples’ Democratic Front (J&K PDF) Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen while condemning killing of the police Inspector expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family. He said violence has no place in a civilized society and such acts have only brought miseries , worries, blood shed and mayhem in Jammu and Kashmir adding that the people are feeling themselves gripped with panic and insecure due to killings of innocent people by the un known gunmen.He said killing of any innocent human being was against the tenants of all religions adding that violence was no solution to any problem. PDF Chairman while praying for eternal peace to the departed soul said that hundreds of Kashmiri families have lost their sole bread earners due to senseless killings by the so called unknown gunmen. He has urged the government to provide government job to the next of the kin of the deceased police man and adequate ex gratia relief to the bereaved family.
Condemned the killing of police inspector Parvez Ahmad the CPI (M) Secretary M Y Tarigami in a separate statement issued on Tuesday termed the incident as unfortunate and said that there is an urgent need to put an end to these killings.The CPI (M) leader expressed deep sympathy with the bereaved family.
