Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam Tuesday visited various Panchayats of Block Gandhari and Ramban to take stock of facilities at Panchayat level Covid Care Centres, besides implementation of Covid-19 safety protocols and adherence of SoPs in the rural areas.
Tehsildar, Ramban, Mohammad Rafiq and other concerned officers accompanied the DC during the visit.
During the visit, the DC interacted with the PRIs and staff members and enquired about the availability of infrastructure in these centres. He also got feedback about vaccination, testing, follow up of isolated patients at home, availability of bedding capacity at designated centers.
The DC directed Tehsil level management committees and other senior officers of Health Department to ensure availability of all prescribed facilities in rural CCCs, besides proper care of COVID-19 infected persons for their early recovery.
The DC further appealed to the general public to take COVID-19 vaccination to avoid the spread of COVID-19 infection as vaccination is extremely important to build immunity against the COVID-19 infection. He stressed on the need to adopt Covid appropriate behavior besides following all the directives issued from time to time by the Government.
The DC also asked the PRIs to motivate the people to use the CCC facility if anybody was found Covid positive. He said the District Administration has established 5 bedded Covid Care Centers in every Panchayat of the district, so that those households not having the option for proper isolation of Covid positive patients in their own residence can stay in these centers.
Responding to the demands of the locals and PRIs, the DC asked the concerned departments to resolve all genuine issues highlighted by them.
