Prof Geer Mohammad Ishaq is new Director of KU’s CCPC

Srinagar: Prof Geer Mohammad Ishaq from Kashmir University’s Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has taken over as new Director of the varsity’s Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC).
An order to this effect was issued by the University’s Teaching Wing.
With a teaching experience of more than 19 years, Prof Geer has served the university in various capacities, including Coordinator UGC-HRDC where he conducted 20 faculty development programmes for college and university teachers.
He has published 49 research papers and presented 42 papers in various national and international conferences while he and his research team has won five best paper awards in various conferences and journals.
Prof Geer has delivered more than 100 extension lectures on various topics outside his department besides publishing more than 100 popular articles in print media.
He has also been appointed as Member Expert Committee on Antibiotic Utilization under National Drug Utilization Evaluation Programme of India, by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi. Recently he has been appointed as Adviser to the Price Monitoring and Resource Unit (PMRU) of the Drug and Food Control Organization, J&K with due approval of National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) of India and has also been appointed as a Member of the PG Curriculum Committee of the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
