Rs.93, 950 fine imposed on 238 persons for violating COVID 19 guidelines in Jammu: Police

Jammu:Police in Jammu on Friday said that it has fined Rs93,950 on 238 violators of covid-19 guidelines in Jammu district.
In a statement issued on Friday police said “acting tough against the violators of the COVID guidelines, Jammu police imposed fine amounting to Rs.93,950 on 238 persons for not wearing face masks”, adding that “ Along with this announcements on loudspeakers were also made to the efforts done by Jammu Police to make people more health conscious and to spread awareness among them to adopt COVID appropriate behaviour”.
Stating that Jammu Police has put in great efforts on its part to strictly implement the orders of administrative authorities regarding COVID measures, police in its above referred statement also appealed to all citizens to not take the COVID measures lightly as the same are important for not just your personal safety concern but also for the safety concern of everyone in contact with you. Police in it’s statement also warned that those found violating the COVID 19 guidelines in the district will be strictly dealt under law.
