Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Government on Tuesday constituted a committee for allotment/ transfer of land in each district of both the Kashmir and Jammu divisions to the regional metropolitan authorities to be headed by the divisional commissioners of the concerned division for orderly and coordinated development of the concerned region . The divisional commissioner has been empowered to take the final decision.
An order issued from the General Administration Department (GAD) reads “sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a Committee, comprising the following, in each district, for examining and recommending allotment/transfer of land by taking into account overall requirements of orderly and coordinated development of the region, for final decision by the Chief Executive Officer of the concerned Metropolitan Region Development Authority:
Chairman : Additional CEO, MRDA/Divisional Commissioner, Jammu/Kashmir
Member Secretary : Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district
Member: Vice Chairman Concerned Dev Authority
Member : Chief Town Planner, Jammu/Kashmir.
The Government in it’s order has further said that the Deputy Commissioner shall be the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the respective Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
