Kidnapped girl recovered in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar: Police in Kulgam on Saturday said that it has recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the person involved in the crime.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said that police Station Manzgam received a written complaint from an individual who stated therein that his daughter had been kidnapped by one person namely Mudasir Ahmad Ganie son of Bashir Ahmad Ganie resident of Prayer Pulwama.
Stating that, a case FIR No. 50/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Manzgam and investigation was initiated, police in the above referred statement further said that during the course of investigation, a team headed by SHO PS Manzgam under the supervision of SDPO DH Pora was constituted which utilised all available means and with strenuous efforts, specific information was generated that facilitated the recovery of the kidnapped girl.
Police in it’s statement however said that the accused person involved in the commission of crime escaped from the spot and efforts are on to effect his arrest. In the concluding para of it’s statement police said that after fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs and investigation into the matter is in progress.
